Privacy policy
AMT Technology respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through amt.technology, why, and your rights under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) and Canada’s PIPEDA.
Person in charge of personal information
Our person in charge of the protection of personal information can be reached through our contact form (start your message with “Privacy”), or by mail at AMT Technology, Attn: Privacy, 574 rue Chef Max Gros-Louis, Wendake, QC G0A 4V0, Canada. Contact them for any question, request or complaint about your personal information.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, organization, email address, type of organization and message, only when you choose to send them.
- Technical data: our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) in server logs to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Why we use it
We use contact form information only to answer your request and, if you wish, discuss a project with you. Technical data is used only to operate and secure the site. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses only what is strictly necessary for it to work. We do not use any technology that identifies, locates or profiles you.
- amt_lang (cookie, 12 months): remembers your preferred language (English or French). Set only when you use the EN | FR toggle.
- amt_cookie_notice (browser local storage, no expiry): remembers that you closed the cookie notice.
- Spam protection: when the contact form comes into view, Cloudflare Turnstile checks technical signals from your browser (such as IP address and browser characteristics) to tell people from bots. It is not used for advertising or to track you across sites.
- Hosting provider: Vercel, our host, may set strictly necessary technical cookies to protect the site against abuse (for example, a security check). They are not used to track you.
Because these technologies are strictly necessary or store a preference you set yourself, they do not require consent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you do, the site will still work but will not remember your language.
Service providers and transfers outside Quebec
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Vercel Inc. (website hosting), United States
- Resend (delivery of contact form messages by email), United States
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile, spam protection on the contact form), United States
This information may therefore be stored or processed outside Quebec and Canada. Before using these providers, we assessed that the information receives adequate protection.
Retention and security
We keep contact form messages only as long as needed to respond and follow up on your request, then delete them. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host. We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access.
Your rights
You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw your consent, or ask that we stop using or delete it, through our contact form (start your message with “Privacy”). We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
